Bio

Stephen Haiko-Pena, bass-baritone, studied at Desautels Faculty of Music with Mel Braun, Robert McLaren, and has sung in masterclasses with Tracy Dahl.

Engagements in 2023/2024 have included Sarastro in The Magic Flute (The Little Opera Company),  General Boom in The Bremen Town Musicians (a 26-show tour of Manitoba communities with Underground Opera), Pasha Seid in Verdi’s Il Corsaro (Underground Opera), and Bass soloist for Handel's Messiah (Covenant Reformed Church AND Queer Messiah at Holy Trinity Anglican Church).

Beyond performing, Stephen maintains an active private voice and piano studio in Winnipeg.
